A4.
  • This is being primarily created for buyers of outsourcing services who want to locate service providers across the world.

Q5.
What is the circulation of the O’SourceBook?
A5.

A7.

The O’SourceBook will reach Fortune 1000 companies, Global 2000 enterprises. It will also reach SMEs across various verticals who have indicated they will be outsourcing significantly through the coming days, and are either seeking or will be short listing service providers. (Click here to view the distribution chart).

Q8.
Why is it called the Buyer-Seller Platform?
A8.

Many outsourcing decision-makers are new to the field and face a complex set of issues, only one of which is provider selection. They are pressed for time. Though many have rigid criteria for selecting a provider, there's no such process for determining their short list. Many cannot afford an advisory firm and, until now, have had to rely on word-of-mouth recommendations and informal consultants. Outsourcing decision-makers have never had an easy-to-use resource where they can locate a number of potential providers quickly. This is the need that O’SourceBook 2008 will meet, and who can better do it than Global Services.

Q9.
What content will O’SourceBook cover?
A9.
  • It will carry profiles/listings of outsourcing service providers primarily based on verticals serviced, skill sets and locations.
  • The services will cover IT Outsourcing (ITO), Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and all key skill sets in these areas addressing each sub-segment of these two vast areas.
Q10.
Is this a database directory?
A10.
To an extent, it is. But it goes beyond the normal listings that are available in regular directories. The O’SourceBook carries profiles of organizations depending on the listing they select in order to be able to help service buyers identify and shortlist the specific category of service providers they seek
Q11.
How will a provider benefit by getting profiled?
A11.
  • Visibility through the year within potential buyers of services.
  • Assist service providers to get on their prospect's radar screen whenever they seek a service provider through the year.
  • Promote new or lesser-known service capabilities:
    - Showcase new customers in key verticals.
    - Announce new delivery capability, service roll-out and geography.
  • Share experience of significant changes (acquisitions, funding, partnerships) their prospective customers should know about.
  • Communicate new customers or vertical strengths that are new or not widely known.

Q14.

The basic listing is free. Why should we pay for an enhanced listing?

A14.

Providers stand to miss out on deals if they depend solely upon word-of-mouth recommendations. Even a large provider may not be well known in some verticals or domains. An enhanced listing will help them differentiate. In this super-competitive space, it might make the difference between being contacted or not. The O’Sourcebook 2008 will work for the provider for a full year and in a variety of formats. Even if you convert only one lead from the O’SourceBook, was it not worth $1,000 (Gold level)?

Q15.

How can a services provider list his company in the O’SourceBook 2008?

A15.

Services providers can list their organizations by directly logging on to http://www.osourcebook.com and submitting information by completing an online form.

Q16.

How will services provider pay for his listing?

A16.

For all profiles that are submitted online, payments will have to be made online. Alternately the service provider can send a cheque payment

All payments will be 100% advance.

Q17.
How will the services buyer navigate through the O’SourceBook to search for providers?
A17.
  • Print – All listings will be categorized alphabetically according to the name of the service provider. The print edition will have three indexes to enable the buyers to search for the providers through
        1. Skill sets
        2. Verticals serviced
        3. Location of delivery centers.
  • CD – Will be searchable across the same three parameters mentioned above for print.
  • Online – Will be searchable across the same three parameters mentioned above for print.
  • Digital – Will be a digital version of print with search options.

A18.

Q22.

This is available to 75,000 qualified subscribers at no cost.
Anyone else seeking a copy will have to pay $14.99 for a copy of the print or CD. Postage will be charged extra.

Q23.
How different is this from other resources available for a user?
A23.

O'SourceBook is a very important tool for buyers of outsourcing services, hence a dedicated website, CD, print copy and digital copy is made available and is marketed across the year, through various mediums.
We believe there are no other such resources available so far. However, some directories available only online are mere database listings.
The issue with those online directories is that they are on web and never promoted as a tool for buyers, unlike the O'SourceBook.

Q24.
What is the last date of registration in O'SourceBook ?
A24.

February 15, 2008.

Q25.
How will Global Services verify the authenticity of the data submitted by service providers?
A25.
The Global Services team will verify the data from the databases and expertise available with them. Any service provider providing incorrect information will be disqualified and no payments will be refunded in such cases.
